On arrival to Ljubljana, you will be met by our representative at the airport for a transfer to your hotel in the city’s grand old district. Depending on what time you arrive, the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the afternoon, meet your guide and fellow walkers for introductions and your first taste of Slovenian cuisine. In the evening, take part in a hands-on culinary workshop led by a local chef. Prepare a full meal using fresh, seasonal ingredients from nearby farms and markets, then enjoy your creations alongside a selection of Slovenian wines.

Ljubljana to the Adriatic Coast
Ljubljana walking tour
Start your day with an immersive tour of Ljubljana, led by an expert guide who’ll introduce you to the city’s unique Art Nouveau, or secesija, architecture. Explore Ljubljana Castle and other iconic landmarks that make this city unforgettable. As evening falls, dive into Slovenian cuisine with a hands-on cooking class where you'll prepare and savour a traditional meal made from ingredients picked fresh from a nearby market.

Hike in Istria, Croatia
Approximately 4.5 hours of walking (10km)
After breakfast, transfer to Učka Natural Park, nestled in Central Istria, offering a serene landscape of medieval hilltop towns and stunning views of the North Dalmatian islands. Explore this peaceful region on a moderate hike.
Afterward, we’ll stop at Konoba Kolasi for a traditional Istrian lunch. Then, depart for Trieste, Italy, where you’ll have the evening free to wander the pleasant streets and enjoy tantalising Italian cuisine.

From the Coast to the Slovenian Karst, Vilenica Cave, and Soča Valley
Approximately 3 hours of walking (6km)
After breakfast and check-out, start the day with a visit to Vilenica Cave, one of Europe’s oldest show caves, where stunning rock formations await. Continue to Kobarid in the picturesque Soča Valley, celebrated for its natural splendour and historical significance. Savour a traditional farmer’s lunch before hiking to Kozjak Waterfall and visiting the Italian Charnel House, a poignant WWI memorial.
Wrap up with a private guided tour of the acclaimed Kobarid WWI Museum. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant before transferring to your hotel in Bovec.

Soča Valley with Soča Gorge to Bovec

Follow the emerald Soča River through Triglav National Park on a beautiful hike through the Trenta Valley, passing picturesque farmhouses and meadows beneath towering peaks. Cross a suspension bridge over the Kršovec Gorge and continue towards Lepena. In the evening, enjoy dinner prepared by a renowned local chef, accompanied by robust Slovenian wines.

Julian Alps Hike and Vršič Mountain Pass
Approximately 5 hours walking (6km)
After breakfast, drive to Vršič Pass, the highest mountain pass in the Eastern Julian Alps. Today's hike to Slemenova Špica takes about 3-4 hours and offers breathtaking alpine views. The trail is steep in places, but the panorama from the summit makes it all worthwhile. Afterward, enjoy a hearty lunch at Erjavčeva Koča Hut.
In the afternoon, transfer to the Peričnik Hut and enjoy a short but oh so sweet hike to Peričnik Waterfall, one of Slovenia’s most majestic cascades.

Brda Hike on Pokljuka

Today, immerse yourself in the calm beauty of Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest glacial lake, nestled in the Julian Alps. Start with a scenic hike along its crystal-clear waters and alpine vistas then choose to join a boat ride across the lake, followed by a gentle 5km hike back along the shoreline. Alternatively, spend the afternoon at your leisure—relax by the lake, take a swim, or explore the charming village of Ribčev Laz.

Above Bohinj in the Heart of Triglav National Park
Approximately 4.5 hours walking (7.5km)
Today’s hike takes you high above Lake Bohinj to the serene Komna Plateau, nestled in the heart of Triglav National Park. The trail winds through lush forest, offering verdant views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Upon reaching the plateau, enjoy a hearty lunch at the Dom na Komni Mountain Hut, where you can relax amidst the tranquil alpine scenery. For added adventure, an optional afternoon loop hike provides an opportunity to further explore this picturesque area.
Dinner will also be served at the mountain hut. In the evening, unwind in a cosy private room at Dom na Komni Mountain Hut.

Mountains and Plateaus in Triglav National Park
Approximately 6.5 hours walking (11km)
After breakfast at the mountain hut, set out on a hike toward the Pasture by the Lakes Hut. The trail begins with a steep ascent before leveling off around Črno Jezero (Black Lake), a fascinating body of water with no visible outlet, as its waters flow underground to feed the iconic Slap Savica waterfall.
Pause for a simple lunch before descending to the valley. Spend a relaxing afternoon at Hotel Bohinj, then savor a delightful dinner at a local restaurant.

Lake Bled
Approximately 3 hours walking (9km)
After breakfast, journey to Bled, Slovenia’s most iconic destination. Hike to Ojstrica, a short yet steep trail offering breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Bled, its island, and the cliffside castle. Then, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lake’s serene shoreline. Savour a traditional lunch in Radovljica, one of Slovenia’s oldest towns, before transferring to Ljubljana. We celebrate our journey together with a final shared feast at Restaurant Breg, nestled along the charming Ljubljanica River.
